A number of alien abductees claim to have been impregnated by visitors from outer space. Is there really a race of star children out there, waiting to inherit the earth? Helen had been having terrible encounters with UFO's and aliens for years. They had come - always at night - since she was a young child. Although desperate to believe they were just vivid dreams, she found it difficult; the time she spent in a cold room being prodded with weird instruments wielded by small, grey-skinned, hairless creatures with strange, slanting eyes felt terribly real. Then, one day in 1989, Helen found herself in familiar surroundings with the fear rising, as always - but this time there was something different. One of the beings in front of her appeared less ominous, more compassionate. It held something out to Helen, who took from it a tiny baby - perhaps just a few days old - which seemed to share both human and alien features. Despite its strange appearance, Helen felt like a new mother being shown her child for the first time. As she held it close, her alien captors stood in the background watching in fascination. If the stories of witnesses are to be believed, Helen was the latest in a long line of women - and men - used by aliens in strange reproduction experiments. Some Ufologists believe an attempt is under way to create genetically an alien/human hybrid child - the cosmic equivalent of the immaculate conception. Alien Seduction. In October and November 1957, there was a wave of UFO incidents, including two alien contact cases that were the first to feature an alleged alien genetic experiment. In the Brazilian pampas, rancher Antonio Villas-Boas was led aboard a UFO by several small, humanoid creatures and then sexually aroused by a female alien with reddish-blonde hair. Villas-Boas reported that he had been drugged before being seduced. the alien then pointed to her belly and to the sky in a gesture which he interpreted to mean 'I am now going to have your baby up there.' Villas-Boas was rather embarrassed by his adventure, and spoke of it at length only to a doctor in Rio di Janeiro, who found he was suffering from mild radiation sickness. The story was not published in Brazil for many years, but it was logged with the British UFO journal Flying Saucer Review, which eventually published it in 1964. Dire Warnings. Three weeks after Villas-Boas was abducted, a second incredible case unfolded in the UK. In a flash of light that left scorch marks on an old newspaper, a being with long, blond hair materialized in the Birmingham home of a young mother, Cynthia Appleton. In this and several other visits over the coming months, the being talked about the dangers of atomic energy. In later visits - some witnessed by Mrs Appleton's daughter - it arrived in an old-fashioned suit and dark car, like a Man in Black. The entity then told Cynthia she was pregnant with a fair-haired boy and gave her details of his birth date and weight, and the name he should be given. Cynthia's doctor confirmed that she had conceived just a few days before the aliens visit. The blond alien made one last visit to tell Mrs Appleton that, though her son had been fathered by her husband, he was also somehow the product of the alien race. Attempts are continuing to locate what would now be a 40-year-old man to see whether he has a story to tell. Genetic Plan. The famed alien encounter of Barney and Betty Hill over the White Mountains of New Hampshire, US, in September 1961 throws further light on the aliens' intensions. Both were physically examined, with sperm samples taken from Barney and what was termed 'a pregnancy test' attempted on Betty. The Hill case, though, was just the start of what was to become a tidal wave of alien contacts with an undercurrent of alien genetic experimentation. In December 1967, for example, a highway patrolman , Herb Schirmer, reported a close encounter at Ashland, Nebraska, US, and told investigators that the aliens had advised him that they were undertaking a 'breeding analysis programme' but did not go into details. A few months later, on 3rd May 1968, 19-year-old nurse's aide, Shane Kurz, claimed to have been abducted by UFO. After her experience, she found a red ring around her abdomen and stopped menstruating. A gynecologist was baffled by her case. Hypnosis revealed that aliens had removed ova from Shane, explaining that she had 'been chosen to have a baby for us.' This pattern has continued in many other cases since the late 1960's, with the alien techniques becoming gradually more sophisticated. Today it seems to be the only purpose of alleged alien contact. Alien Practices. A female Finnish abductee described how, in 1980, samples were taken from her ovaries using a long tube. The beings told her that their race was genetically sterile, but had found within humanity an unexpectedly rich gene pool, aiding them in their quest to keep their species alive. Back in Britain, in October 1974, an entire family claimed to have been kidnapped from their car on a quiet road in Essex. Inside the UFO were two types of being: small squat figures that conducted medical tests and - an often-repeated detail of such cases - taller, humanoid entities that seemed to be in control. The family was given a tour of the craft and shown a series of films about the aliens' genetically barren home world. Warning the witnesses that the visitors wished to ensure we did not go the same way as they had done, they explained: 'You are our children. you are part of an experiment.' The family were then told that there was a long-term plan in operation. Disturbing Cases. There are a disturbing number of cases in which female abductees find themselves pregnant after their encounter. One Lancashire woman explained how she was found to be pregnant a few days after being abducted and medically examined by a female alien; this was a complete shock, as she did not even have a boyfriend at the time. After a few weeks, she apparently miscarried, passing a large amount of blood. She was convinced the aliens had somehow impregnated her and then taken the baby to continue its growth elsewhere. Surprise Pregnancies. A number of female abductees have had similar experiences. A study of 50 British abduction cases up to 1993 revealed no fewer than four women who became unexpectedly pregnant immediately after their encounter, then spontaneously aborted within three months. The most unusual case of this type involves a young woman called Karen, who, in 1979m along with her boyfriend, took a holiday job in Cornwall. One night, Karen had a close encounter with a blinding light. On her return to her home in Cheshire she found herself pregnant and having strange dreams, in which the baby was born with incredible intelligence and odd appearance. Then three months into her pregnancy, Karen awoke to find her bed covered in blood. Tests showed that she was no longer pregnant and she felt a terrible sense of guilt because she had been so relieved. Karen went on to have a number of other strange encounters with UFO's and aliens before, in early 1987, waking one night to find herself holding the hand of a small child. Then a ball of light rose upwards through the ceiling and the child vanished. The episode gave her great comfort. It was as if the child she had lost to the aliens had returned to show her it had grown to maturity elsewhere. |
